"It is hoped, that prospective adopters will come to
understand, that adoption is not for the faint-hearted. It is a
labor of love that focuses not on the notion of a child as a
blessing to a couple but rather actively seeks to ensure that a
couple is a blessing to a child. It should signify a love that
seeks to give and not to receive. Unconditional love based on
adequate preparation and information, a love that will give and
force to the letters of theConvention on the Rights of the Child,a
love that can respond positively to the desperate plea that speaks
from the soul, through the down-cast eyes of that 'little thief',
'liar', 'witch', 'child of a prostitute', 'son of a lunatic',
infirm, emotionally scarred and broken child saying "please take me
home."
